Recently Apple released iOS 7.0.4, which debugged many bugs including Facetime bug, But Many People are still not satisfied with the upgrade and they say the new update has more bugs.We have also heard that some of the devices including iPad and iPhone were left unable to work after the update.

iOS-7-0-4

Some of the problems found so far since installing iOS 7.0.4!

One iPad owner ‘HT6058 Verify update’ (iOS 7.0.4), but when they tried to download and install they had a system reply saying that there were not connected to the Internet so please try again. This is strange because they said they were on the Internet because they left the message in the Apple Community. Their ending message was – iPad Air + iTunes = unworkable system!

It seems lack of Internet connection is an ongoing occurrence as we have seen a few other members having the same problem.

Other problems since installing iOS 7.0.4 include Outlook not being able to verify account information, one user said that they deleted their Outlook email account and made it again but yet still gets the same message of “Unable to verify account information.”

Another issues seems to be iPhones being left slow and sluggish since the install, some have said this is also bad they want to go back to 7.0.3. This seems to be happening on multiple iPhone models.

The iOS 7.0.4 Problems So Far Listed:
1. 7.0.4 forced a complete restore
2. Slow and Sluggish
3. Outlook cannot verify account
4. Issues connecting to Internet

If you are not satisfied with your new OS , I have a simple and easy procedure that can help you downgrade from iOS 7.0.4

How to Downgrade from iOS 7.0.4 to iOS 7.0.3 or 7.0.2 or iOS 7

Follow these instructions to Downgrade from iOS 7.0.4 to iOS 7.0.3 or 7.0.2 or iOS 7 using the firmware file:

  • Make sure you have updated to iTunes 11.1
  • Download the appropriate iOS firmware file for your device. That Are mentioned below.
  • Connect your iOS device to your computer using an USB cable. Wait for iTunes to open and connect to your device.
  • Click on device button to the left of the iTunes Store button in the top right corner in iTunes.
  • Hold down on the option key (Mac) or the shift key (Windows) and click the “Check for Update” button in the Summary pane. Browse to the .ipsw file you downloaded and select it.

If iTunes says there is no new version to downgrade to, you can do it forcibly by putting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod into DFU mode after the backup, then doing the restore. DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode will make sure you download and install the firmware you want on your iPhone , iPad or iPod.

I’m also experiencing a lot of wifi problems with my iphone 4s after I updated to 7.0.4. I was wondering if my texts, pics, contacts, etc. will get deleted if I downgrade? If so, if I restore from a backup I made with the 7.0.4 ios will it restore them?

    • Abdullah Akbar Shafi

If the Downgrading is successful.. you can easily Restore your data .. As the data restore has no Link with software downgrade…!

I have an iPhone 5 with ios 7.0.4 and I’m currently chatting with Apple tech support. Twice I had trouble with my Outlook and when I fixed it I lost my contacts/calendar on Outlook. When I synced my iPhone to get my contacts/calendar back on Outlook I lost EVERYTHING! Both times! As soon as it happened the second time I contacted tech support.
