Everyone is anxiously awaiting for the next flagship of Google Nexus 8. And now as we are hearing a lot about the device it looks like the device will be out pretty soon, Most likely it will be announced or released with the release of next Android operating system that is Android L, Its Preview is out and people are using its developer version, the official version is expected to be released in the fall of this year.
We saw few weeks back first bits of information leaked out regarding 9-inch Nexus tablet being manufactured by HTC, Volantis codenamed, It is packed with Nvidia Tegra K1 internals. Now the latest deatails about the upcoming tablet have surfaced that says its hardware might be similar to that of Nvidia’s recently-released Shield Tablet.
While compiling all the rumours following are the speculated rumours about the Google device being made with HTC.
- Nexus 9 will come with a 8.9-inch display.
- The Screen resolution is expected to be 1920 x 1200, or 2560 x 1600.
- It might also have Nvidia’s 64-bit variant of their Tegra K1 SoC,
- Two custom Denver CPU cores as well as their mobile Kepler GPU.
- 4 GB of RAM.
Strangely, the leaks suggested the Nvidia SoC will be paired with a Qualcomm MDM9x25 LTE modem in the cellular model. The Shield Tablet uses an Nvidia-made Icera i500 modem, but HTC may choose to not to use what naturally should be a perfect pair for the Nvidia SoC instead of a Qualcomm chip.
- The rear camera is said to be of 8-megapixel
- Sony’s IMX219 sensor
- A 1.6-megapixel OV970 front-camera.
- It will run Android L when it launches later this year.
Basically the tablet sounds like an upgraded version of the Shield Tablet, packing amazing components into a high-end 9-inch device. By all accounts the Shield Tablet is already very powerful, so this could be the Android tablet to look out for in the coming months.
