The Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi has been a mega success in India, and that has given wings to this giant to launch overseas in the United Kingdom. Just today, Xiaomi debuted in the UK market, and if you remember in 2017, on this day, Xiaomi made a debut in Spain. Xiaomi launched a huge array of products in Spain, one year and day ago in Spain today. The Chinese company is looking to expand and capture the European market, and there’s no stopping it.
In early 2018, Xiaomi opened in France and Italy as a part of its European expansion. And now it’s eyeing the biggest consumer of tech goods in west Europe. Xiaomi launched its 2018 Android flagship phone, the Mi 8 Pro besides an authorized Xiaomi store at Westfield shopping center in London. Xiaomi store is expected to create ripples in the economy of the United Kingdom as the company plans to release a few ecosystem products too.
Mi Band 3, a Mi computer mouse, earphones, headphones, a laptop, a pen, various backpacks and luggage, an electric scooter, and a projector are a fee of the ecosystem products slated to launch at the UK center. Xiaomi has u clarified in a number of press conferences that the UK store won’t be a pop-up store. Xiaomi takes the Mi 8 expansion very seriously, and the store isn’t on the continent to sell just the Mi 8 Pro if that’s what you thought.
The Chinese tech giant has seen a warm response in Europe given the incredible prices its things are available at. You may call prices as ‘breakthrough’ and hence as a success story, in Spain Xiaomi has ten stores up and about.
As I mentioned earlier, Xiaomi opened with Mi 8 Pro that was extremely well received in the UK. First of all, the looks of 8 Pro were loved by one and all and next off, the fact that its front notch is same as that of iPhone X. At the back of the phone is a translucent extra silicon cover that shows a bit of hardware. Xiaomi has described this partially visible hardware as real which means that it is not placed just for show, but actually it aids in working of the smartphone. So you may say that this hardware is actually functional components of the smartphone.
Xiaomi wants to do business, capture markets beyond the Greater China region. It is joined by many smartphone brands of China such as Huawei which earlier signed an exclusive deal with AT&T. OnePlus too has expanded into the UK as OnePlus 6T launched on carried Verizon from the US. As for Mi 8 Pro, local carrier Three will offer services in the United Kingdom. Hutchinson has signed a deal with Xiaomi to promote the latter phones across Austria, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden, and of course the UK. And what better to see US smartphone market lose out to the Chinese giants, only because of more diversity presented by the Asian counterpart.
