At the recently held 2018 Auto Expo, Hero Motor Corporation announced locally manufactured, the all-new Duet 125. But before the launch date, something prompted Hero to change the name of Duet 125 to Destini 125. It should be noted here that the changes are only in terms of names and Destini will remain the 125cc scooter it was before. Hero Destini will make history in itself because it will be the first of its kind homemade 125cc scooter to be launched in the Indian market. Launched on October 22′ 2018, it resembles the Hero 110cc Duet on a rough look.

Hero Destini will be the latest addition to the house of rapidly growing 125 cc scooters. Suzuki showed the path to others by launching Suzuki Access 125. This was followed by the Honda Activa 125, making Hero the last and the latest one to follow the practice. TVS too has a 125 cc which is highly expensive, called the TVS NTorq 125. Suzuki has the Access 125 and the Burgman Street 125, and on the other hand, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India have the Activa 125 and the Grazia.
