Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series always manages to create buzz as there are a lot of loyal fans of MI, specifically of Redmi Notes. So, we are again blessed with another Redmi Note, which is Redmi Note 6 Pro. It is earlier than usual, as Redmi Note 4 was lauched in January 2017, and Redmi Note 5 was lauched in February 2018. So, this is the first time when we are receiving two generations of Redmi Note in a single year.
The smartphone is going to be revealed soon, as the release date of Redmi Note 6 Pro is set at 23 November 2018. We know that the release date was announced as 22 November 2018, but MI recently delayed the release by one day. Overall, Note 6 Pro is finally getting the long-awaited notch in the Note series, and the Note 5 Pro successor is looking amazing with the notch. However, the notch has been very common as all the smartphone manufacturers have added a notch to the budget segment phones.
Moreover, Redmi Note 6 Pro will feature a 6.26 inch IPS LCD touchscreen, having 81.1% screen-to-body ratio. The screen has 1080 x 2280 pixel resolution, and the screen has 19:9 ratio, with 403 PPI density. The screen is protected by an unspecified version of Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone will be loaded with Android 8.1 out-of-the-box, and it will be enhanced by MIUI 9. The phone will be run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz.
Most important part of Redmi Note 6 Pro will be its camera, as the cameras of previous Notes have been, well, not bad but average. So, this is the best time for Xiaomi to correct previous mistakes, as they have a lot of competitors to deal with now. The rear camera of Redmi Note 6 Pro is a dual camera, one is 12 MP main camera with f/1.9 aperture and with dual pixel PDAF, and the other one is 5 MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Interestingly, front facing camera is also a dual camera, with 20 MP camera is the main camera having f/2.0 aperture and a depth sensor of 2 MP with f/2.2 aperture. The phone is supposed to have a 4000 mAh Li-Ion battery to power the device.
The price of Redmi Note 6 Pro has not been announced, but we assume that it will be priced similar to Redmi Note 5 Pro, where 32 GB and 3 GB RAM version might have a price tag of 14,999 and 64 GB and 4 GB version at 16,999. However, the phone might also be priced higher, as the better camera might have an impact.
