Amazon’s smart speaker range Echo is providing support to a vast range of music services such as Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, and Pandora. But a leading music service was missing from the Echo, and it was a significant disadvantage for a lot of users. Apple Music is what Echo could not support, hurting all the apple users. But now, Amazon is finally extending support to Apple Music for Echo devices, and it will be updated on 17 December 2018.
Apple Music users will now be able to ask Alexa to play artists, album, or simply ask to play a song by saying the name of the song, or any of the playlists or radio stations of Apple Music. However, users will have to enable the Apple Music as a skill for Alexa app, and they will have to link their account to use the service.
That is all the information available about it, and we will have to wait until the official rollout starts for more details.
